Actor Zachary Levi, most known for his roles in Chuck and Shazam, moved to Austin just a few short years ago. He’s said he left Hollywood to create a place of community, creativity, culture and connection here in the Austin area. Wyldwood Studios is now officially part of that community.
Levi bought multiple properties in the Bastrop/ Wyldwood area that he apparently plans on turning into not just a film studio but also an art commune and maybe even a resort.
Here’s his hilarious introduction to “Wyldwood.”
If you follow Zachary Levi on Instagram as we do, you’ve been just as confused up till this point about his plans for the property. While this video cleared some things up, we’re still wondering how it’s all going to come together. He described it as a Disney World you can live in. 30 miles outside of Austin? Count us in!
Now, Wyldwood has released their first original content – a short film called The Statement. The three and a half minute short puts you at ease with its serene visuals. But don’t get too comfortable, there’s a surprise twist at the end. Watch for yourself below.
Looks like the film studio part of Wyldwood is well underway! We can’t wait to see what else Levi has in store for us in the future.
