Austin women have a unique opportunity to be part of a live television audience, while helping bring light to an important issue. On Friday, July 10, 2026, Coffee Milk Media and Austin PBS will host the live studio taping of The Pause. The new one-hour television special is focused on menopause, perimenopaus, and women’s health in midlife.
About The Pause, A New Austin PBS Special
The Pause is created and executive-produced by Coffee Milk Media founder Keocha LaFleur-Anders. The special was developed to provide space for honest conversations about a life stage that affects millions of women yet is often overlooked in mainstream media.
Featuring expert guests, audience participation and candid conversations, the evening is designed to help women feel informed, supported and less alone in their experiences.

Featured experts include:
- Dr. Paula Orr, Board-Certified Obstetrician-Gynecologist
- Dr. Susan Hardwick-Smith, Board-Certified Gynecologist and Certified Menopause Practitioner
- Gabriella Espinosa, Menopause and Sexual Wellness Educator and host of Pleasure in the Pause
- Karen Cerezo, Certified Health and Wellness Coach, Menopause Advocate, and Founder of Lifestyle Fitness
According to organizers, an estimated 6,000 women in the United States reach menopause each day. Conversations surrounding menopause continue to remain limited, despite women spending roughly one-third of their lives in postmenopause. Whether you’re currently navigating perimenopause, menopause, supporting a loved one, or simply interested in learning more, The Pause is designed to provide practical information, expert guidance, and community connection through a multicultural and multigenerational lens.
