SXSW is back and so is our list of the best pop ups happening at the festival! SXSW 2024 starts Friday, March 8 and runs through Sunday, March 17. This means we’re only a month away so bookmark this page and follow us on Instagram because, as usual, we’re spilling the tea on all the best celebrities, entertainment and SXSW pop ups!

This list will be continuously updated as new pop ups are announced so make sure to check back for the most up to date information.

If you are looking for the easiest way to RSVP to all of the pop ups and free events happening at the festival, this is for you. RSVP ATX will automatically RSVP you to all the unofficial SXSW showcases and events! Learn how to sign up here.

Here are the SXSW 2024 pop ups events you won’t want to miss: 

Sharpie X Paper Mate Studio

March 8 | Icenhauer’s, 83 Rainey Street | RSVP
The Sharpie X Paper Mate Studio is coming to SXSW 2024! Register now to visit the studio and explore unique ways to unleash your creativity with the newest Sharpie® and Paper Mate® products. There are also very limited spots available at the Sharpie X Paper Mate Studio Creative Academy with classes led by seasoned pros, so register soon so you can attend!
SXSW badge holders will get priority.

Variety Power of Comedy

March 8 | ACL Live at The Moody Theater, 310 W Willie Nelson Boulevard | Tickets
Variety will host its Power of Comedy awards show at SXSW for the second year. They will be recognizing comedic achievements across stand-up, film, TV and digital platforms. The 2024 honorees include Samantha Bee, John Leguizamo, Nick Kroll, Andrew Rannells, Hannah Einbinder, Pamela Adlon, Lilly Singh, Jaboukie Young-White, Robbie Praw, and Cazzie David. SXSW badges will be admitted to the event for free. Badgeholders receive priority over wristband holders. However you can also purchase a limited amount of ticket.

The Experience by DELL Technologies

March 8 – 9 | The Riley Building, 315 Lavaca Street | RSVP
Dell is back at SXSW AND this year they are showcasing how leaders across industries are using technology to inspire and create change. You can always count on Dell to have good music, good food and good conversations.

Fallout by Amazon Prime Video

March 8 & 9 | Hotel San José, 1316 S Congress Avenue
Amazon Prime Video is back at Hotel San José this year. This year they’re transforming the space into into Frilly, the town from the highly anticipated series based off a popular video game. Frilly is the wasteland shanty-town outside the Vaults from the series and you get to immerse yourself in. The experience will take attendees on a journey full of activities and Easter eggs from the series. This event is open to the public, however SXSW badge holders will get priority.

Hook’em House

March 8 – 9 | Antone’s, 305 E 5th Street | RSVP
UT at SXSW is back! This year they’re taking over Antone’s. Expect live music, expert panels, swag and everything Longhorns!

Snap Sanctuary

March 8 – 10 | The Pershing, 2415B E 5th Street | RSVP
Snapchat will be celebrating authenticity, community and wellness! Take a break from the hustle and bustle of the festival for a rejuvenating escape. They’ll have everything from morning yoga, sunset DJ sessions, panels and more! There will also be a special performance by a master guest on March 9.

The Audible Sound Experience

March 8 – 10 | 3rd and Congress
Audible is back for another year of fun! This year see Austin from their ferris wheel, play carnival games, eat classic carnival food, win prizes and discover your next listen! This event is open to SXSW badge holders, no RSVP required.

The Tide Laundry Experience

March 8 – 10 | Wanderlust Wine Co, 610 N Interstate Hwy 35 | FREE
Did someone say free food, free drinks and free Tide samples? Don’t miss this event!

Paramount+ Experience: The Lodge

March 8 – 11 | Clive, 609 Davis Street | RSVP
Paramount+ The Lodge experience is back for its second year. This year’s featured movies and shows include; Halo, Fraiser, Dora, Mean Girls (2024), Survivor, Star Trek: Discovery, and more. This year they also have additional activations such as Paramount Presents Theater, Paramount+ The Lodge Confessional and CBS Sports at The Paramount+ Pub.

Leadership in Brand Marketing Summit

March 8 – 11 | Lamberts, 401 W 2nd Street | RSVP HERE
Brand Innovators is where the world’s brand marketing leaders come to learn, share and connect. They’re back at SXSW this year with a great lineup, including marketing leaders from brands like Stanley 1913, Kendra Scott, Turo, Zillow, Samsung, Paramount, Sprinkles and more!

Porshe: Full Service

March 8 – 12 | Brazos Hall, 204 E 4th Street
Porshe is back for its Collaborations Unseen activation this year. See Porsche history in the making at Porsche Full Service at SXSW. The all-electric Macan will be making its American debut!

Hotel ZaZa’s Rachel Nathan Pop-Up 

March 9 | Hotel ZaZa, 400 Lavaca Street 
Hotel ZaZa is hosting a special SXSW pop-up with Rachel Nathan, an Austin-based jeweler. The event is happening March 9 from 4 to 8 p.m. in Perfect Strangers, just off their hotel’s lobby. The event will feature a cocktail station and a selection of light bites. If you attend, you’ll also get a 20% off voucher to use at Group Therapy, Hotel ZaZa’s rooftop restaurant! Wellness House

A Ridiculous Boat Party

A Ridiculous Boat Party is back during SXSW 2024, and this time with more great performances and two epic events; a dockside lounge and our very special sunset cruise. The Meltwater After Party

Billboard Presents: THE STAGE at SXSW

March 14 – 16 | Moody Amphitheater, 1401 Trinity Street | Tickets
Billboard Presents THE STAGE at SXSW will kick off with a night dedicated to R&B headlined by singer-songwriter and producer PARTYNEXTDOOR on March 14; on March 15, a night celebrating Latin music will feature TJ the DJ and singer-songwriter Christian Nodal; and on March 16, a dance-centric night presented by Carnival Cruise Line will kick off with DJ Sober before electronic giant ILLENIUM takes the stage. Additional talent will be announced at future dates.

~Pourri Funk Factory

Casamigos Lobby Experience

If you’re a fan of Casamigos, George Clooney’s tequila, then you’re in for a treat! During SXSW you can create your own Ranch Water with Casamigos on March 15 in Hotel ZaZa’s lobby! Hotel ZaZa will also be serving a variety of snacks to pair with the cocktails. This event is happening March 15 from 3 to 6 p.m. 

Denim Atelier by Madewell

SPIN Magazine

March 16 | Stubb’s BBQ, 801 Red River Street | TICKETS
SPIN Magazine loves Austin and they’re back this year with a dayparty at Stubb’s featuring legendary emo band, Sunny Day Real Estatewho are celebrating the 30th anniversary of their seminal album “Diary.” The show will also feature Matt Pryor, lead singer of The Get Up Kids and more post-punk favorites to be announced soon.
