Ryan Gosling The Fall Guy

After premiering Atomic Blonde at SXSW 2017, David Leitch returns to SXSW with his new apex-action thriller The Fall Guy. Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt star in this hilarious, hard-driving, big-screen love letter to action movies and the hard-working and under-appreciated stunt performers and crew members who make them.

Inspired by the hit 1980s TV series, the film follows Colt Seavers (Gosling), who, after an almost career-ending accident, is drafted back into service to track down a missing movie star, solve a conspiracy and try to win back the love of his life while still doing his day job.

The Fall Guy cast also includes Winston Duke, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Hannah Waddingham and Stephanie Hsu. We spoke with Taylor-Johnson on the carpet for the Kick-Ass premiere in 2010, while Hsu chatted with Spill the ATX at the Joy Ride premiere in 2023.

Should Gosling attend, this will not be his first trip to Austin. He spent time in the ATX while filming Song to Song. In 2011, we crossed paths with him at Fun Fun Fun Fest (RIP). The Terrance Malick film went on the premiere at SXSW in 2017.
