Texas native Jesse Plemons, who you may know for his role on Friday Night Lights, stars in a new TV commercial for Shiner Bock Beer.

Texas native and part-time Austinite Jesse Plemons says Shiner Beer is a “Texas thing!”

Called “It’s a Texas Thing,” the 30-second ad first aired through Texas during the Oscars. While introducing the new Shiner Bock packaging and solidify its status as the quintessential craft beer in Texas, Plemons takes on the role of a mysterious stranger in a bar, sharing insights into Texas culture and Shiner’s rich history.

Newly designed Shiner Bock bottles and cans featured in the ad will hit shelves nationwide in April. The ad can be seen on social, YouTube and in outdoor advertising.
