Did you know the Netflix movie Look Both Ways was filmed in Austin? Yep, that’s right. In the summer of 2021, Lili Reinhart and co-stars, including Texan Luke Wilson, shot the Texas half of the film in various Austin locations.
Originally the movie was titled Plus/ Minus, which is a better name IMHO. Alas, it’s now called Look Both Ways and it’s currently available to stream on Netflix.
Here Are All the Austin Connections In The Lili Reinhart Film Look Both Ways!
Within the first 10 minutes of the flick you will see fireworks over the UT tower, a house party take place in the Old Enfield neighborhood and the Pfluger Pedestrian Bridge.
But that’s not all! Here are some other locales to be on the lookout for:
- Town Lake
- A drone shot of the Austin skyline (which has already changed since filming)
- The side of Arlan’s Market in Crestview Shopping Center
- The Long Center
- Stubb’s
- Continental Club
- Paramount Theater
There’s also a mention of Whataburger – Lili Reinhart’s character MUST have a Buffalo Chicken Sandwich before going into labor!
And in a scene where she finds out the sex of her baby, her baby daddy is wearing a Casino El Camino t-shirt.
The only location I’m unsure of is her parent’s house. If you know where this is located, please DM me on Instagram.
As for a review of the movie. If you’ve seen the trailer, you’ve pretty much seen the whole movie. It’s about an hour and 45 minutes long but it felt like it was over two hours. I kept wondering when it was going to speed up. Spoiler alert, it never did.
If you really want to see those few Austin shot scenes listed above, go for it. But don’t say I didn’t warn you.
