A Sneak Peak Into The World of ‘Fallout’ at SXSW

We got a look inside the world of Prime Video’s Fallout during SXSW and we want to spill the tea on everything we saw.

But first, the trailer was just released and here’s the first look at Fallout.

Amazon Prime Video has transformed the beloved video game into an out of this world show. At SXSW, Amazon took over Hotel San José on South Congress for the second year and completely transformed the space. When you enter the world of Filly and are met with a multitude of characters and Easter eggs from the series.

Filly is a bustling wasteland shanty-town that appears to be the result of nuclear fallout. Junk, repurposed vehicles and rust serve as the town’s backbone, along with the colorful characters who inhabit the space. The activation did an amazing job of creating an immersive experience, from the food, drinks, activities and aforementioned characters!

Here are some of our favorite moments from the experience!

Upon walking in, we were given a few bottle caps to start, which serve as currency in the world of Filly. You can collect them by doing activities like lassoing taxidermy of sorts, shooting in the arms dealer section and even selling your teeth at the dentist/ barber.

Drinks are available, including Lone Star, but our favorite was the Nuke Cola. It’s non-alcoholic and quite tasty. PS, it’s actually a limited edition Jones Soda. They also serve “ass” jerky and cupcakes!

Some of the cast members made an appearance at the Saturday event, including Walton Goggins and Aaron Clifton Moten. The latter actually hails from Austin!

All in all, the event was a lot of fun. Here’s hoping Amazon Prime Video continues to come back and do these events at SXSW!

The Fallout pop-up ends today at 6 PM, so don’t miss your chance to experience Filly yourself!

You can watch the original series on Amazon Prime Video on April 12, 2024!
