Formerly known as Meghan Markle, Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex is coming to SXSW. She’s taking part in a keynote session titled: Breaking Barriers, Shaping Narratives: How Women Lead On and Off the Screen.

The session will focus on women’s representation in media and entertainment. As outlined, female representation has come a long way, but there’s still much to be done, especially for women of color and mothers. Happening on International Women’s Day, Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex (aka Meghan Markle) will be joined by Emmy Award-winning journalist Katie Couric, host of The Amendment podcast Errin Haines, two-time Golden Globe Award-nominated actress Brooke Shields and author, sociologist, pop culture expert Nancy Wang Yuen.

All women taking part are visionary female leaders at the forefront of news, media, entertainment, and philanthropy. They are breaking barriers, challenging stereotypes, and working toward a healthier society on and off our screens.
