Queer Eye’s Jonathan Van Ness is taking over the West Chelsea Contemporary ‘On the Wall’ program!

Staring on Friday, May 28, JVN X WCC ‘On the Wall’ will premiere at the gallery. The event features a curation of emerging artists – including Lanecia Rouse, A’Driane Nieves, and Ben Medansky. Displayed alongside the current exhibition, Icons & Vandals, these hand selected works by JVN offer collectors a chance to acquire original art by the three talented artists.

‘On the Wall’ is WCC’s most recent initiative that promotes the Austin art community by integrating a curated roster of emerging local talent in each of its exhibitions. After three successful capsule collections, WCC is excited to expand ‘On the Wall’ beyond the geographical boundaries of Austin and pay tribute to rising contemporary artists often marginalized by the gallery system. This unique opportunity affords their collector community the ability to both discover and support influential artists on the rise. The artists selected by Jonathan Van Ness have developed practices that forge new paths and they have well earned their rightful place beside the Blue Chip icons and Modern Masters that comprise the WCC collection.

The public is invited to visit the gallery to view JVN’s curation of impressive emerging artists by registering at the link HERE.

Hours: Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays from 12 to 6 p.m.
