How To Have The Best Trip To Round Top Antiques Fair

The big shows happen every Spring and Fall. There’s also a two day Winter show. The 2024 Fall show is happening October 14 through 19. 2025 kicks off with a winter show on January 24 and 25. Some tents start operating before the official dates, like Blue Hills.

Tip #1

If you’re more into the yard sales type stuff, spend time in Warrenton. Most of the features we’ve seen on social media recently focus more on the trendier, high end area. But if sifting and thrifting is more for you, then the Warrenton tents are where to spend most of your time.

Tip #2

Let’s talk parking. Most of the set ups in Warrenton charge $5 to park. Don’t just pull into the first one because it may be quite the walk to hit them all. Drive through and find a central locale that makes the most sense. Once you head into Round Top, parking is free so you can drive, park, and hop out at each of those.

Tip #3

Plan your day ahead of time. We recommend getting out there early and going mid week (although you might find some good deals by attending on the last day). The later in the day and closer to the weekend, the crowds will be bigger. We arrived at 10:30 on a Thursday and felt like that was perfect. We also timed our lunch to be on the tail end of lunchtime and had no issues getting a table.

Tip #4

Of course, if you want to stay the night in Round Top, there are plenty of options. There’s Glamp Inn, Wander Inn, Hotel Lulu and more. But the only spot we can recommend personally is Flop Houze. This unique glamping spot includes a collection of six recycled shipping containers that have been repurposed into guest suites. There’s also a poll made out of, you guessed it, a shipping container. You can learn more about our stay here.

Tip #5

Finally, if you’re looking for more boutique and decor store type places, there are plenty of spots to choose from in Round Top proper. A few of our faves include: Blue Hills (where I snagged some new pieces from Honest Cotton), Bader Ranch, The Arbors and Junk Gypsy. Marburger Farms is also quite popular, but that one is a ticketed event. $15 gives you access to more than 300 exhibitors across five football field-sized tents and 10 of the Farm’s century-old historic buildings. They also have a cafe on site.
