We’re back for our final Friday Night Lights walk down memory lane. We’ve covered all of the remaining filming locations in Austin except for one, Tim Riggins land. Since the show ended the series finale at this location we thought it would be appropriate to end our list in the same fashion. Texas forever y’all.
Tim Riggins Land
7252 Burleson Manor Road
Let’s end this list with the character responsible for the phrase “Texas Forever.” That’s right #33 Tim Riggins. In the pilot episode, which aired October 2006, Tim is drunkenly talking to Jason Street when he declares; “Here’s to God and football and, 10 years from now, Street, good friends living large in Texas. Texas forever, Street.” The rest is history. The last time we see Tim Riggins he’s toasting to “Texas Forever” with Billy as they enjoy a beautiful Texas sunset on his land. Riggins may have been a bad boy but he had a heart of gold and we loved seeing him end up getting the land he always dreamt of owning in the final episode. Although this stop is a little further out than the rest, it’s a vital piece of FNL and is a must see location!
Much like his character Tim, Taylor Kitsch decided to stick around Austin after the series wrapped in 2011. Taylor did in fact eventually buy some land to call home in the Austin area, unfortunately this wasn’t the land he bought.

We highly recommend a driving tour of the FNL filming locations. It’s actually a great way to get out of the house while still practicing social-distancing! Looking for other FNL filming locations? Check out this post that documents ALL of the filming locations still standing as of Fall 2019.
And if you want to relive the glory of the series, it’s currently available to stream on the NBC app (you’ll need to authenticate), Hulu, or Starz.
BTW, our creator/editor HAS is fact had the opportunity to meet Tim Riggins himself. You can check out that interview here.
