The hit Fox series 9-1-1 is launching a spinoff called 9-1-1: Lone Star.
The series will follow Rob Lowe’s sophisticated New York cop character who re-locates to Austin.
No other cast members have been announced and no word on whether the series will shoot in Austin, elsewhere in Texas or somewhere else entirely.*
9-1-1: Lone Star is set to debut during the 2019-20 season.
Fox’s Upfront presentation and events are happening this week in NYC. We’ll be on the hunt for more details. Stay tuned!
*UPDATE*
A publicist for 9-1-1: Lone Star confirmed to Austin 360 that the show will shoot in California, not Austin. Boo.
Additionally, we’re not sure if this is legit, but an account with the handle @911lonestar on Instagram states the series premiere date is Jan. 19, 2020.
