For a little over a month now, we’ve been introducing you to the Best of Austin Bloggers and Influencers and we’re nowhere near done. Today we are chatting with Texas grad Chelsea Bancroft of onechelofanadventure!
Chelsea grew up all over Texas but she’s called Austin home for almost 10 years now. After graduating from college she worked for a big tech company but quickly realized corporate life wasn’t for her. So she packed up her stuff and moved to Sydney, Australia for a year to be an au pair. That’s when she decided to start her travel blog and everything blossomed from there. Now that she’s back in the ATX, Chelsea continues to blog while working full time running social media and marketing for an auto dealership group.

Just as we do with celebs, we asked Chelsea to answer some of our Totally Texan questions, as well as a few ATX-tra things.
What’s your favorite Austin shot movie or TV show?
Friday Night Lights is one of my absolute favorite TV shows.
Who is your favorite Texas band/ musician?
That’s a tough call between Eli Young Band and Josh Abbott Band. I also really like Turnpike Troubadours!
What actor would you classify as “totally Texan?”
The ONLY answer to this question is Matthew McConaughey 😉
What’s your theme song?
My ultimate pump-up, girl boss theme song is “Power” by Little Mix. But overall, I like to think “She’s Like Texas” by Josh Abbott Band is my theme song.
Who would play you in the movie of your life?
Some people say that I look like Rachel McAdams. I also get that I look like Kendra, the Playboy Bunny, a lot haha… I think I’d rather Rachel McAdams play me in a movie though. 😉
What advice do you have for Austinites looking to be successful in social media?
Make sure you take great quality photos. That doesn’t mean you need to buy a fancy camera, iPhones take awesome photos nowadays. Do your research with hashtags and be sure to interact with other Austin accounts.
