Keanu Reeves is headed to Austin—but not for a movie premiere. The Hollywood icon will take the stage as bassist for his alternative rock band, Dogstar. The trio kicks off its North American All In Now Tour at ACL Live at The Moody Theater on Saturday, August 1, 2026.

For Austin music fans, it’s a rare opportunity to see one of Hollywood’s most recognizable stars doing what he’s been passionate about for decades: playing live music.

Who Is Dogstar?

While many people know Keanu Reeves from blockbuster films like The Matrix and John Wick, he’s also been a longtime musician. Reeves is joined by Bret Domrose on guitar and vocals with Robert Mailhouse on drums.

The band originally formed in the 1990s before taking an extended hiatus. After reuniting in 2023, Dogstar released Somewhere Between the Power Lines and Palm Trees and returned to touring. Now they’re back with a brand-new album, All In Now, and an international tour.
