You may know Round Top, Texas for their ultra famous antique fair. But did you know that Round Top also hosts a film festival? The unique festival returns on November 6 through 9 and there are some exciting things happening in year two!

What You Need To Know About Round Top Film Festival

Founded by mother-daughter duo Shanna Schanen and Skylar Schanen, the event honors the spirit of Texas film, including the Maverick Stunt Award. This now annual prestigious award honors an outstanding professional in the stunt industry whose innovative contributions redefine the craft of action storytelling.

This year’s Maverick Stunt Award will be presented to Chris O’Hara. With over 25 years of experience, he has quietly shaped action cinema as a stunt designer and 2nd unit director, bringing precision and heart to every project. He has worked on many films you are familiar with, including The Fall Guy, Baby Driver, Jurassic World, The Avengers, Fight Club and more. He has event doubled for stars like Matt Damon in The Bourne Supremacy and Bradley Cooper in The Hangover series.

That’s not all that’s happening at this totally Texas festival.

The closing night film is Jay Kelly which stars George Clooney, Adam Sandler, Laura Dern, Emily Mortimer, and Billy Crudup. Now that’s a star studded cast!

There will also be a special retro screening series of The Only Thrill. This special event celebrates Texas cinematic history while honoring the memory of Diane Keaton.

And speaking of star studded, other projects screening at the festival star well known actors like Zoey Deutch, Ron Perlman, Esai Morales, Jonathan Lipnicki, Adrianne Palicki, Henry Thomas, Ethan Hawke, Steve Zahn and more. Some of these actors will even be in attendance!
