At the premiere of his new film Hit Man in Austin, Glen Powell’s parents took to the red carpet to troll their celebrity son. Cyndy and Glen Powell Sr. showed up at the Paramount with signs that read, “Stop trying to make Glen Powell happen” and “It’s never gonna happen.”
Why Glen Powell Was Trolled By His Parents With Mean Signs At His Austin Film Premiere
Powell says his parents came up with the prank after seeing mean tweets about him. “I don’t read tweets, but my parents read tweets,” he told Entertainment Tonight. “So if you’re talking sh*t, know that my parents are reading those tweets,”
The following evening, the Austin Film Society honored the Top Gun star. He was inducted into the Texas Film Hall of Fame at their Toast to Texas Film event.
When the CMT Awards came to Austin, we included a question about Powell in our Texas This or That interviews. Powell’s newest film Hit Man appears in select theaters on May 24 before hitting Netflix on June 7.
