Fright Fest is back at Six Flags Fiesta Texas for its 30th anniversary. The frighteningly fantastic event is packed with fun, including six haunted houses, seven scare zones, live entertainment and nighttime rides.

Arrive On Time

If you want the full Fright Fest experience, get to Crackaxle Canyon before 7 p.m. This is when The Arrival begins. Dr. Diabolical’s train rolls into the station and releases the monsters of Fright Fest into the park. Zombies and other creatures pour onto the streets as the entire Screampunk District comes alive around them. It sets the mood for the night and it was one of our favorite moments of the event. Showtimes sometimes change so check the Six Flags app when you arrive. Give yourself enough time to find a good spot before the train pulls in.

The Haunted Houses Are Worth The Upgrade

Your regular park ticket gets you into Fright Fest and its scare zones. The six haunted mazes require a separate Haunted Attractions Pass or a Fright Fest ticket bundle. Buy it! The haunted houses feel detailed and immersive with dark corridors, live scare actors and enough surprise appearances to make even the brave person in your group grab someone’s arm.

The 2026 lineup includes The Conjuring Universe, SAW: Legacy of Terror, Hexenhaus, Nosferatu, Cinema Slasher and Twisted: Theater of Torment. The Conjuring Universe puts you inside the Warrens’ occult museum with Annabelle, The Nun and scenes inspired by the Perron farmhouse. SAW drops you straight into Jigsaw’s world. Hexenhaus sends you through a sinister witch’s home while Cinema Slasher feels like several classic horror movies collided inside one school.

We would not skip any of them. Each maze creates a different kind of scare and a new reason to question why you volunteered to walk into a dark room full of strangers.

Get The Interactive Lantern

Here is the insider tip we wish everyone knew before walking into the park. Look for the interactive Fright Fest lantern sold inside Fiesta Texas. It is more than something cute to carry around. The lantern works with special activation points hidden throughout the park. Lights change. Sounds play. Decorations suddenly react. One of the best activations brings the giant pumpkin arch to life. Hold the lantern to the marked point and watch the pumpkins light up around you. Kids love it. Adults suddenly become equally determined to find every activation. Ask a team member where to purchase the lantern when you enter since availability and sales locations change.

Tricks And Treats Offers Halloween Fun For Younger Kids

You do not have to wait until dark to celebrate Halloween at Fiesta Texas. Tricks and Treats takes over the park during the day on Saturdays and Sundays from September 12 through November 1. It was made for families and younger kids who want Halloween fun without anyone chasing them through the fog. Children dress up and walk from one themed treat location to the next collecting plenty of candy. The little houses are adorable and the whole experience feels playful instead of scary. You will also find costume activities, seasonal food and family friendly entertainment before the nighttime creatures take over.

Tricks and Treats is included with regular park admission.
