Amazon and Prime Video have always had a strong presence at SXSW. In past years, they have brought some pretty incredible activations to town. And their nods to hit series The Boys have been some of the best! Since the season 4 premiere date has been announced as June 13, we can’t help but wonder if Texans Chace Crawford and Jensen Ackles will be back at the fest this year.

Here’s Why We Think Amazon Will Bring Chace Crawford And The Boys Back To SXSW!

In 2022, Prime Video took us to Voughtland. With an experience that illustrated the worlds of Superheroes and Superstars, there were a variety of things to enjoy. Fans of The Boys could power-up at Diabolical’s signature Vought A Burger stand then take a whirl on a Starlight’s Carousel of Dreams. Additionally, Lizzo’s Watch Out for the Big Grrrls experience got guests prepped for stardom with a relaxing glow-up while they sipped on Lizzo-inspired cocktails served at the supersized Juicebox bar. There were also some stellar parties as well as appearances by Crawford, Ackles and more!

In 2023, Prime Video took over Hotel San Jose. Each ares of the space hosted an activation related to one of their shows. There were concerts, props and activities tied into the biggest show they were promoting at the time, Daisy Jones and The Six. Plus, there was free food courtesy of Grub Hub, a Prime Denim pop-up where you could customize a jean jacket and multiple other rooms promoting shows like Harlem, The Power and The Summer I Turned Pretty.

But our very favorite thing in 2023 was the controversial room themed for The Boys.

It’s no surprise that cast members from The Boys didn’t attend in 2023. There was no new season announcement. However, with the season 4 looming and plenty of teases to come, it would make perfect sense that the cast would be on site this year – especially since many cast members have ties to Texas. Ackles and family live here part time. Crawford hails from Plano. Jack Quaid has also spent plenty of time in the ATX as his dad Dennis Quaid called Austin home for many years.
