While we’ve been practicing social distancing from people we’re becoming closer than ever with our televisions and we couldn’t help but notice the amount of Matthew McConaughey movies that are currently streaming. It’s no secret that the ATXGossip team is a big fan of Mr. Texas, so we thought we’d share our love by sharing some of our favorite movies.

Magic Mike (2012)
Starring: Matthew McConaughey, Channing Tatum, Olivia Munn, Joe Manganiello, Matt Bomber
Synopsis: By day, Mike (Channing Tatum) makes ends meet any way he can — handyman jobs, detailing cars or designing furniture. But nighttime is when Mike really gets to display his many talents: He’s the hot headliner in an all-male revue. Mike sees potential in a 19-year-old he dubs the Kid (Alex Pettyfer), takes the teen under his wing and instructs him in the tricks of the trade. However, Mike learns there’s a downside to the stripper lifestyle when it threatens his romance with the Kid’s sister.

A few weeks ago McConaughey launched “McConaughey Takes” on his Instagram feed. In each clip, he talks about his movies and gives us a little behind the scenes about them. Last week he talked about Magic Mike. In the video Matthew talks about how he was in the middle of his transition period as an actor when he got a call from director Steven Soderbergh asking him to play Dallas. Watch the video for more of what it was like to be on the set of Magic Mike! It looks like he enjoyed making it as much as we enjoyed watching it. Check out the video below!
