The CW has released the first trailer for the Walker Texas Ranger reboot, simply named Walker. The series is being shot on location in Austin and stars Austinite Jared Padalecki. His wife Gen will also make appearances on the show as his character’s late wife.

Where does Walker film?

The series is shot right here in the ATX and ATXgossip has received many messages about Walker filming taking place, including shots on South Congress. We can’t wait for the premiere on January 21 so we can start piecing together all the locales.

Who else stars in Walker?

Being from Texas might not be a requirement for getting cast on Walker but it sure helps. Padalecki hails from San Antonio originally while co-stars Lindsey Morgan and Kale Culley also come fro the great state of Texas. Morgan is from Huston while Culley, who will play Walker’s son, is from Dallas.

The series also stars Violet Brinson, Keegan Allen, Molly Hagen, Mitch Pileggi, Coby Bell and Jeff Pierre.
