Panther Field

We’re back again to continue our Friday Night Lights walk down memory lane. We already told you about the Tim Riggins House and Coach Taylor’s House now we’re here to tell you where you can find Panther Field.

Panther Field

1301 Pecan St., Pflugerville

Lucky for the series, Pflugerville High School’s mascot is also a panther so they didn’t have to do much in the way of signage. It’s also lucky for us because we can still go get pictures of the “Home of the Fighting Panthers” sign.

Due to the fact that FNL had an unusual production process using real locations, they also used dozens of extras. Most of the high school students and crowds for the football games were all students and other locals. I’ve never been so jealous of a high school in my life.

Fun Fact: This field was only used in the pilot of the series. Stay tuned to see where the Dillon Panthers actually played for the rest of the series

As always, we encourage you to check out local filming locales, stop and take pictures but please be mindful. These locations are not just prop houses or buildings but real homes and establishments. Be respectful and courteous with your approach.

Looking for other FNL filming locations? Check out this post that documents ALL of the filming locations still standing as of Fall 2019.

And if you want to relive the glory of the series, it’s currently available to stream on the NBC app (you’ll need to authenticate), Hulu, or Starz.
