Britt Robertson is no stranger to the concept of being cut off from the rest of the world as she starred on CBS’s Under the Dome for three seasons.
Next month, you’ll see the rising star in the interplanetary adventure drama The Space Between Us where a young man experiences an absolute separation from society.
After a shuttle embarks on the first mission to colonize Mars, the lead astronaut realizes she is pregnant, resulting in the first human birth on the red planet. When that child becomes a teen, he strikes up an online friendship with a street smart girl in Colorado named Tulsa, played by Robertson. Brought to Earth as part of a scientific experiment, the boy escapes and joins up with Tulsa on a race against time to unravel the mysteries of how he came to be and where he belongs in the universe.
Where Britt Robertson belongs is up on that screen.
As illustrated by numerous roles over the last decade, Robertson is a star that’s steadily rising Hollywood’s hot list.
Born in Charlotte and raised in the Greenville, SC, area, this Carolina girl hasn’t experienced many Growing Pains since getting her start in the 2004 reunion movie about the Seaver gang.
In the course of the last five years, the 26-year-old has starred on two CW series, Secret Circle and Life Unexpected, the Disney blockbuster Tomorrowland and the Nicholas Sparks romance drama The Longest Ride.
Next up, we can’t wait to see her in the Netflix series Girlboss, based on the bestselling book penned by Nasty Gal founder Sophia Amoruso. Robertson plays the lead in the half-hour 13-episode comedy series set to premiere in 2017.
The Space Between Us is in theaters nationwide on December 16.*
*Update – The Space Between Us new release date is February 3, 2017.
