Bobby Flay recently paid Austin a visit. The chef posted a picture of himself on Instagram posing with an old truck saying, “The city of Austin, Tx is a great town, innovative food, fun people .. an abundance of tequila.. thank you for the hospitality.”

A follower even spotted the Food Network star at Swedish Hill Bakery on West 6th. No cameras in sight so it appears he was simply enjoying the cafe. Can’t say we blame him. Swedish Hill is delish!

Back in 2004, Bobby featured Austin on his series BBQ With Bobby Flay where he visited Cooper’s and Broken Spoke.

In 2018, corporate executive pastry chef of New Waterloo Amanda Rockman beat Flay on his Food Network show Beat Bobby Flay. According to Eater Austin, she bested Flay with her tiramisu, which happens to be served at Cafe No Se on South Congress. Cafe No Se is just one of New Waterloo’s Austin restaurants.
