Apparently, a winery is a good investment. At least, that’s how it seems judging by all the celebrities who own wineries. The public consumption of, and demand for, wine is showing no signs of slowing down – that’s why celebrity wines are more popular than ever.

Yes, everyone knows the Coppola’s own a booming wine business, but some of these other celebrity wines may surprise you.

Here are 21 celebrity wines you may not know exist (but you do now)!

1. Barrymore by Carmel Road | Drew Barrymore

According to the company website, the allure of the journey and a chance to create an offering to share with her family and friends propelled Drew to delve into the world of wine. Located in Soledad, California, Carmel Road currently offers a Barrymore Pinot Grigio and Drew’s Blend of Pinot Noir. 

2. Ferguson Crest | Fergie

On the company’s website, Fergie says, “Since starting Ferguson Crest in 2006, I’ve gotten the chance to grow something beautiful with my father again, and this time around share our family treasure so that each of you can taste the love and care that’s gone into every bottle.”

Located at the highest point in Solvang, California, and overlooking the splendor of the Santa Ynez Valley, Ferguson Crest offers a variety of whites and reds, including a blend called Fergalicious. They even have a wine club.

3. Bure Family Wines | Candace Cameron

Bure Family Wines was started by Candace Cameron and her ex-NHL star hubby Valeri Bure. During a trip to the Napa Valley, Bure met the winemaker at Chateau Boswell and decided to turn his passion for wine into a commercial venture. They then decided to start running Napa Wine Tours and slowly the business grew to the empire that it is today.

Currently produced in limited quantities, the wines are made at Chateau Boswell Winery in St. Helena, California, with fruit grown in the cooler Coombsville growing region just east of Napa.

4. Black Hills Estate Winery | Jason Priestley

Jason Priestley has been collecting wines for over 20 years and is passionate about it. He is one of five partners invested in the Black Hills Estate Winery, located in his home province of South Okanagan, British Columbia.

Priestley has said that while he’s traveled to many great wine regions around the world, he’s extremely impressed with the quality of wines emerging from Canada’s Okanagan Valley.

The winery offers sunset happy hours, winemaker tours and a wine club.

5. Dreaming Tree Wines | Dave Matthews

Of his wine, Dave Matthews says, “This is something I feel good about inviting someone over to share with me. It’s something to be proud of.”

Located in Geyserville, California, the winery is part of a solar initiative that includes 17,000 solar panels spanning four wineries, the largest solar footprint in the US wine industry.

Wines cost a mere $15 a bottle and can be purchased online.

6. Ciccone Vineyard | Madonna

Located in her home state of Michigan, the Ciccone Vineyard is a collaboration between Madonna and her father Silvio “Tony” Ciccone

Offering European-style wines from grapes grown primarily on the hillside estate, located approximately 15 miles from Traverse City, the winery is open to the public but you can order online, they ship to 39 states.

Wine costs range from $18 to $60 a bottle!

7. Pursued by Bear | Kyle MacLachlan

A collaboration between actor Kyle MacLachlan and the Dunham Cellars winemaking team, this Washington State winery is located in the heart of Washington’s wine making district.

In an online article discussing the similarities between wine-making and acting, MacLachlan said, “You put something together, you blend something, you have the best intentions and you just don’t know what’s going to happen.”

Luckily, you can see what happens at the Dunham Cellars vineyard since they offer a tasting room at their Walla Walla based winery, which sits about 130 miles south east of MacLachlan’s hometown of Yakima.

8. Passing Time | Dan Marino

Dan Marino and his former back-up Damon Huard started this winery just outside of Seattle in 2015. According to the website, Passing Time is, first and foremost, dedicated to Cabernet Sauvignon.

There are only subtle nods to their sporting past (eight stitches subtly incorporated into their logo) and, unfortunately, there is no variety called “Laces Out.” Color us disappointed.

Prices range from $89 to $600. The pricier ones are autographed. They also have an annual wine club with four different membership options. You can choose from a 3, 6, 12 (a case) or 13. The Club 13 is in support of the Dan Marino Foundation, this memberships gives 13% of your annual payment to the foundation. Find more details here.

9. Miraval-Provence | Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie

Of course we must mention this one. Superstars Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie own the South of France estate which produces a very hard to get your hands on rosé. The first 6,000-bottle run sold out within five hours.

HoAccording to a Vanity Fair article, Joe Bastianich called the offering, which is actually affordable at $23 a bottle, “very, very, very pretty.”

10. Armand de Brignac | Jay Z

Jay Z increased his ownership in Armand de Brignac Champagne, aka “Ace of Spaces’ in 2014. You might have even seen the gold bottle’s cameo in Jay Z’s ‘Show Me What You Got’ music video in 2006.

The price for a taste of the hip-hop artists wine? There are two bottles available and they’re priced at $300 and $850. That’s a lot of money for some champagne but then again it’s Jay Z!

11. Maison No. 9 | Post Malone

Texas native Post Malone had his own rosé, who knew? Maison No. 9 is a French rosé that promises the taste of the French Rivera in every bottle. Post Malone says, “Rosé is for when you want to get a little fancy” and for $24 a bottle you can get a little fancy often.

12. Invivo X | Sarah Jessica Parker 

SJP combined her New York sass and the best wine regions to create wine that made the Wine Spectator’s Top World’s Best Wines! Are we surprised? So grab a bottle, turn on “Sex and The City” the show, movie, reboot show – take your pick. Invivo X ranged from $22 to $60, so your Jimmy Choo fund is safe.

13. Avaline | Cameron Diaz

Cameron Diaz quit Hollywood and been keeping it low-key for years. In 2020 she launched Avaline wines with entrepreneur Katherine Power. The duo have created clean wine made with organic grapes and no unnecessary additives. The can get everything from red, white, rosé and sparkling. They even have canned wines and bundles available.

14. LVE | John Legend

John Legend’s music always makes us want to enjoy a nice glass of wine so it makes complete sense that he was his own collection. Legend teamed up with Raymond Vineyards, who has a forty-year reputation for boasting elegant wines.

There are currently nine wines in the LVE collection. Prices range from $25 to $85. If you join their wine membership you get a 20% discount on all wines on top of four shipments a year. Each shipment is $150 and gets you three exclusive limited-release bottles of wine. Learn more here.

15. Fresh Vine Wines | Julianne Hough & Nina Dobrev

If you follow Julianne and Nina on Instagram then their friendship is no secret. The two took their friendship to the next level by teaming up to release Fresh Vine Wines. Their celebrity wines are labeled as premium wine with less sugar, carbs, calories and gluten-free.

Produced and bottled in Napa, California, the Fresh Vine Wine collection features a California Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, California Rosé wine and more. Prices range from $16 to $22 which is extremely reasonable, with the exception of their limited reserve which sells for $125.

16. 19 Crimes | Snoop Dogg

If you’ve ever come across 19 Crimes in the store, then you know that this wine is the last wine label you expect to find on the shelf. Snoop Dogg partnered with the Australian wine brand 19 Crimes in 2020. The company features a line of wines inspired by convicts turned colonists. You can get Snoop’s wine for only $15!

17. Joyful Heart Wine Company | Chrissy Metz

With the This is Us series finale looming ahead now is the perfect time to stock up on some Joyful Heart Wine. You can sip and cry at the same time. The wine which was founded by Chrissy Metz was inspired by her philosophy that “it’s only after we fill our own glasses that we’re able to pour unto others.” 

You know what’s even better than wine? Wine for 1 cent. Chrissy’s wine is not only super affordable ($16 a bottle) but right now if you buy 5 bottles you get a bottle of their reserve for only 1 cent! The reserve usually runs for $40. Now that’s a deal.

18. MYX Fusions | Nicki Minaj

In 2013 Nicki became part owner of Myx Fusions, a fruit-infused wine beverage. They have everything from moscato, sangria and concord. All of MYX products are top quality, gluten free, and Kosher certified.

The only downside of MYX? You can’t order it online but you can locate a local store that sells it on their website.

19. – Gogi Wines | Kurt Russell

Kurt Russell took his love for wine and ran with it. After years of being an amateur wine enthusiast Russell discovered amazing wineries in the Santa Rita Hills. One thing led to another and Russell became a sommelier. 

Russell’s passion is evident in the work he personally puts into the winery and wines. But our favorite part is that each wine’s name has a personal touch. Find each name and their meaning here.

Prices range from $50 to $75. The wine club is yearly and $750 for a case of selected wines, plus many perks. One of the perks is a personal invitation for the member + 1 guest to a private members’ party. There isn’t too much information about the even(s) but we’re assuming Russell will personally be there.

20. – Z. Alexander Brown Wines | Zac Brown

Country artist Zac Brown released Z. Alexander Brown Wines aka “uncaged” wines in 2013. Brown says: “Wine has always been important to me because it brings people together and connects them with the bounty of the land. I’ve always believed in putting everything you have into what you create. When you make something you are proud of, there is a special reward in being able to share it with family and friends.

You can get any bottle of their uncaged wines for under $20 dollars.

21. Sun Goddess Wine | Mary J Blige

Icon Mary J. Blige teamed up with Mario Fantinel to create Sun Goddess Wine. The wine is made in Friuli Venezia Giulia (north-east of Italy). Friuli Venezia Giulia is recognized around the world as a source of excellent quality wines. After personally visiting the Fantinel vineyard in Friuli Venezia Giulia, Blige felt so connected to the place that she just had to partner with Mario.

BONUS: Nocking Point Wines | Stephen Amell

Nocking Point was born in 2012 when Arrow star Stephen Amell made a pit-stop in wine country with his friend (now business partner) Andrew. The company original started as a member only wine club but has since evolved into so much more. Amell used his Hollywood connections to bring in famous collaborators for their quarterly wine boxes.

Nocking Point is made in Walla Walla, Washington, where they recently opened a tasting room. They also do countless events every year for members. In fact, just this year they hosted an event at Native Hostel right here in Austin.
