My favorite hotel is Vegas is Park MGM. Why you ask? Read on. If you want a hotel that balances luxury, location, value, dining and comfort, the Park MGM deserves to be at the top of your list. While mega-resorts on the Strip often compete by going bigger and louder, Park MGM stands out by offering a genuinely relaxing experience.
But, the following is the #1 reason Park MGM is my favorite hotel on the strip.
1. Park MGM Is the Only Fully Smoke-Free Resort on the Las Vegas Strip
There’s no smoking allowed. No smoking, y’all! We’re not just talking abut the rooms. It’s smoke free EVERYWHERE. There is nothing better than waking up in the morning in Vegas and your hair not smelling like smoke.
While there are other hotels without smoking, like the Vdara and W Las Vegas, this is the only full no smoking resort with a casino!
But that’s not the only reason we love Park MGM.
2. The Location Is Nearly Perfect
Park MGM sits in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip, making it incredibly convenient for both first-time visitors and Vegas veterans.
The hotel is directly connected to the entertainment district known as The Park and sits next to:
- T-Mobile Arena
- New York-New York
- Aria
- Easy tram access to Bellagio and beyond

3. The Food Scene Is Surprisingly Elite
Park MGM quietly has one of the strongest restaurant lineups in Las Vegas. My fave is Eataly. This massive Italian marketplace and dining hall has something for everyone. It’s a step up from a food court but still more affordable than most sit down restaurants.

- Primrose
- Juniper Cocktail Lounge
- La La Noodle
4. The Pool Area Is Relaxing Instead of Chaotic
Not everyone visiting Las Vegas wants a nonstop party pool. Park MGM’s four pool setup offers a more balanced atmosphere where guests can actually relax while still enjoying a lively Vegas vibe. This pool scene is a but quieter than most resorts. While there are a few cabanas, this is definitely a more low key scene. The best part is that there is an adults only pool (18+). There’s also a moroccan inspired terrace pool, open to certain levels of MGM Rewards.
5. It’s Often More Affordable Than Nearby Luxury Resorts
One of the smartest reasons to stay at Park MGM is value. The property sits next to premium luxury resorts like Aria, Bellagio and Cosmopolitan, but room rates are often noticeably lower.
You still get a premium location, good dining and entertainment without paying ultra-luxury pricing. Plus, there’s the clean air aspect!
