Create & Cultivate’s Future Summit is happening during SXSW on Sunday, March 9 at Assembly Hall. The FREE, one-day event features powerhouse speakers, insightful panels, and networking opportunities designed to help women grow their careers and businesses.
This year’s keynote speaker is Ashley Graham, trailblazing supermodel, entrepreneur, and OLLY ambassador. She will be joined by other notable speakers, including Adrienne Bailon, Camille Styles, Karena Dawn, Mamrie Hart and more.
We spoke with Jaclyn Johnson, founder of Create & Cultivate, about this year’s event. She’s most excited about interviewing media personality, pop culture commentator, and InStyle hostess Tefi.
Tefi joins a long list of iconic speakers from past events, like Tan France, Natasha Lyonne and Kristen Bell. “This year is no different,” Johnson says. “We love gathering our Austin community and beyond to create connections and provide inspiration!” When asked who her dream get is, she mentioned that she feels lucky to have featured incredible talent over the last few years, but the ultimate guest would be Oprah!
Of course, we couldn’t let her go without asking a little bit about Austin. Luckily, she’s visited many of the best restaurants in Austin. Her faves are Clarks Oyster Bar, The Lobby Bar at the Proper Hotel, Olamaie, Launderette and Junes.
