Golden Globes

The Golden Globes never fail to give us memorable moments and this year was no exception. Throughout the past few years, we have seen more diversity in film and TV as well as nominees and winners at Hollywood awards shows. At the 2025 Globes broadcast, there were some inspiring speeches and moments that deserve to be highlighted.

The Best Moments From The Golden Globes 2025

Kieran Culkin

Let’s start with Kieran Culkin’s acceptance speech. Last year, while accepting for this role in Succession he told his wife we wanted another baby. This year, he told the crowd that he and his wife had done a shot of tequila with Mario Lopez and his whole speech was gone. After thanking the Globes for another great date night opportunity, he gave props to Jesse Eisenberg, his co-star and the writer of the film A Real Pain.

Hiroyuki Sanada

When accepting his Globe for Best TV Drama Actor Shogun star Hiroyuki Sanada gave aspiring actors a piece of advice. “I’d like to say for the young actors and creators in the world, please be yourself, believe in yourself and never give up.”

Meanwhile, his co-star Tadanobu Asano was truly shocked by his win. After stating that so many in the room don’t know him, he introduced himself to the crowd as an actor from Japan. His joy was felt through the screen as he ended his speech exclaiming, “I’m very happy!”

Demi Moore

First off, Demi Moore had a wonderful moment on the E! red carpet speaking about how hard women are on themselves. “The most captivating (thing about the film The Substance) was really the exploration of the violence and harshness we can have against ourselves because that is within our power to shift – because how we hold ourselves is everything.”

Celebrating her big win on stage for Best Female Actor – Motion Picture, Musical/Comedy, the star of The Substance continued her message of hope for women. Though she’s been in the game for over 45 years, Moore pointed out that this is the first time she’s ever won anything as an actor. She went on to explain that a producer once told her she was a popcorn actress. “And I bought in[to], and I believed that,” the 62-year-old said. After explaining that she almost gave up on acting before getting this script for this film, she ended her time with a piece of advice.

Demi Moore’s Powerful Advice for Women

“In those moments when we don’t think we’re smart enough, we’re pretty enough, we’re skinny enough, we’re successful enough, or basically just not enough, “Moore said. “I had a woman say to me, ‘Just know you will never be enough, but you can know the value of your worth if you just put down the measuring stick.’ And so today, I celebrate this as a marker of my wholeness and of the love that is driving me and for the gift of doing something I love and being reminded that I do belong.”

The crowd erupted into applause and as the camera cut back to presenter Kerry Washington, she wished good luck to whomever has to follow that.

Sebastian Stan

After taking to stage to accept the award for Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical or Comedy, Sebastian Stan fittingly made a statement about disability. “Our ignorance and discomfort around disability and disfigurement has to end now,” he said. “We have to normalize it and continue to expose ourselves to it and our children encourage acceptance. One way we can do that is by continuing to champion stories that are inclusive.”

Stan stars in A Different Man as an aspiring actor who undergoes a radical medical procedure to drastically transform his appearance, but his new dream face quickly turns into a nightmare. The film screened at Fantastic Fest in Austin earlier this year.

Zoe Saldaña and the Cast of Emilia Pérez

An emotional Zoe Saldana praised her fellow nominees during her acceptance speech for Best Supporting Female Actor – Musical/ Comedy. “I am in awe of you,” she gushed. “Your strength, your complexity, your undeniable talent. I know that it is a competition but all that I have witnessed is just us showing up for each other and celebrating each other. And it’s just so beautiful.”

Later in the show, while accepting for Best Picture – Musical/Comedy, Emilia Pérez lead actress Karla Sofía Gascón told the audience, “I have a message of hope for you: The light always wins over darkness.” She continues, “You can maybe put us in jail. You can beat us up. But you never can take away our soul, our existence, our identity.”
