Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas

There are so many things to do in Las Vegas! Simply visiting each casino/ hotel is an adventure in itself. The Fountains and Conservatory at Bellagio, the aesthetic of Paris and The Venetian, the pirate show at Treasure Island, the flamingos at Flamingo… these are things one must see at least once. However, if you’re looking for some more unique things to do and see in LV, we got you!

Here are 13 unique things to do next time you visit Las Vegas!

Pose for Pictures at Seven Magic Mountains

We definitely recommend visiting this colorful and magical art installation. Located off strip, you do need a car for this one, but it’s worth a trip. Read more about the art installation here.

Go Gaga at the Haus of Gaga

As mentioned, many of the casinos and hotels have free shows and displays you can experience. One lesser known exhibit is the free Lady Gaga museum at the Park MGM called Haus of Gaga. Here you’ll see most iconic fashion pieces from Gaga personal vault spanning more than 10 years of cultural, musical and fashion reinvention.

Gamble Smoke Free at Park MGM

Speaking of the Park MGM, it is the only smoke free hotel and casino! Opened in September 2020, the former home of the Monte Carlo Resort and Casino continues to be the only smoke free spot on the Strip.

Chill Out at Minus5 Ice Bar

EVERYTHING is made of ice at Minus5 Ice Bar – the walls, the seats and even the glasses your kitschy beverages are served in. With three locations and new ice sculptures being added all the time, this is one of the coolest experiences in Vegas – you see what we did there? Once you choose your package, you’ll be given gloves and a warm parka or faux fur coat before you are transported into a winter wonderland of interactive ice architecture. Once inside, visit the ice bar and order one of their signature cocktails (non-alcoholic treats are available so the kiddos can get in on the fun too)! Get all the info here.

Need to warm up after your visit? Hit the speakeasy next door. 1923 Prohibition Bar offers a stylish atmosphere and an even better menu of cocktails!

Marvel at The Neon Museum

Signs from old casinos and other businesses are on display at the Neon Museum. Many films have been shot in the “boneyard” throughout the years including Vegas Vacation, Mars Attacks! and Fools Rush In. More than 200 neon signs are on display. Some of the most famous signs include Caesars Palace, Binion’s Horseshoe, the Golden Nugget, the Stardust, New-New York, Lady Luck and O’Shea’s.

Visit The Simpsons House

Originally built as a promotional giveaway, this suburban house was designed to be an IRL version of the Simpson home. In 1997 a promotional contest saw Fox and Pepsi raffle off a fully-realized replica of the cartoon house. Today, it looks something like this, but it’s still kind of cool. See more pictures and learn more here.

See the Berlin Wall Urinal

Since we are an all female staffed site, we haven’t actually seen this one for ourselves but it sounds interesting. Apparently, a piece of the Berlin Wall is prominently displayed inside the men’s bathroom of the Main Street Station Hotel and Casino. Not sure if this is true, but we have heard that security guards can escort women who want to see it.

Stand where the Rat Pack Stood

The Copa Room at The Sands Hotel and Casino was home base for the Rat Pack. Though The Sands is no longer there, a plaque marks the spot where the famous picture below was snapped. That spot where Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., Peter Lawford and Joey Bishop stood is located in front of what is now the Venetian.

Grab a Snack at Hello Kitty

Hello Kitty Cafe Las Vegas offers a super cute menu featuring freshly baked cookies, cakes, donuts, seasonal goodies, and handmade hot and iced drinks. Pictures of the sweet treats are from the Hello Kitty Cafe’s official instagram!

Pay homage to Elvis

If you’ve seen the Baz Luhrman Elvis movie, or if you know the history of The King, you know that Elvis Presley performed his very first Vegas show at the International Hotel in July 1969. What was supposed to be a four week engagement lasted for seven years. Now known as the Westgate, there’s a massive bronze statue of Elvis on display in the lobby. The street in front of the resort is named Elvis Presley Boulevard.

Snap Pics at A Little White Wedding Chapel

This infamous wedding chapel has been around since the 50s. Many a famous couple have wed here including Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward, Frank Sinatra and Mia Farrow, Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, and, more recently, Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner and Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez. It’s also the site of Britney Spears’s first wedding to childhood friend Jason Alexander.

Dine at Hells Kitchen

Drawing inspiration from the hit TV show starring Gordon Ramsay, guests can feel just like they’re on the studio set at Hell’s Kitchen. The restaurant is located at Caesars Palace, so while you’re there, you can pose with the fountain in the lobby and ask, “This isn’t the real Caesars Palace, is it?”

Get Lost at Omega Mart

We’re big fans of any Meow Wolf experience. That being said, Omega Mart is our favorite of the three locales (though we look forward checking out the additions coming to Dallas and Houston). Here’s a video that gives you just a glimpse at what the exhibit is like.
