Recently, a follower on Instagram asked us where to host a holiday tea in Austin. While we couldn’t locate a holiday specific tea party, we do have three ideas of where you can do tea and experience the magic of the season!
Here’s where to have a Christmas Tea Party in Austin!
Four Seasons Austin
The Four Seasons offers an A-TEA-X MENU (sounds perfect for us, does it not) that’s available Wednesday through Friday from 1 to 3 p.m. It’s $62 per person and includes one tea cocktail or pot of hot tea.
Through January 8, they are hosting an ice rodeo where you can skate beneath the stars overlooking Lady Bird Lake. There are also fire pits to roast s’mores and cozy “cabins” where you can gather with friends and family.
Julie Myrtille Bakery
At the Julie Myrtille Bakery afternoon tea, groups of six will each get a tea sandwich, one scone, two madeleines and two cups of tea. Since it’s Christmas time, they have some specialty items on their menu so add or take home some seasonal macarons or candied chestnuts.
The Steeping Room
The Steeping Room has two tea services to choose from, both including all the tea fixins! Or you can create your own afternoon tea by choosing from their selection of tea sandwiches, scones, cookies, cakes and, of course, tea! Right now, they are offering some special holidays teas and treats.
Speaking of hosting a party at home, you can always grab some macarons from La Patisserie and brew your own Christmas tea from Tea Forte! Their Winter Chalet collection will make you feel like you’re at après–ski! The curated collection includes flavors like Sweet Orange Spice, Belgian Mint, Chocolate Fondue and more! See all of their seasonal offerings here.
By the way, we would usually include The Driskill on this list but it looks like they aren’t offering high tea again until January. See our full list of places to get tea in Austin here.
