Though singer-songwriter Reid Lee now calls Los Angeles home, the emerging artist hails from the Corpus Christi area. And there’s nothing we love more than seeing Texans succeed. That’s why we want you to help spread the word about this track from his upcoming album “Broken Arrows.”
Actually, that’s not the only reason we want you to share the love.
In Reid Lee’s debut single “Save the Best,” Reid raises awareness about domestic abuse in the LGBTQ community.
As illustrated in the video’s conclusion, domestic violence by an intimate partner is experienced by:
44% of lesbians and 61% of bisexual women,
26% of gay men and 37% of bisexual men,
and 30-50% of transgender people.
But there’s even more to his powerful message. On his blog, the artist states that at this stage in life, he can’t expect anyone that he falls in love with from here on out, to not have a past.
“It’s a love song to a person you haven’t met yet. It honors the path we take to get there,” he says.
You can pre-order Reid’s upcoming album here and immediately receive the single “Arrowheads.” The full album is expected June 23.
