Grammys 2024

It was ladies night at the Grammy Awards 2024! From rockstar performances to record breaking wins and a very special announcement, here were our favorite Grammys moments.

The Best Moments From Grammys 2024

Trevor Noah

Noah is proving to be the ultimate host. He’s classy, funny and, most importantly, knows how to land a joke. First, he had the cutest little moment with Meryl Streep (her daughter Grace Gummer is married to Grammy Winner Mark Ronson). Then there was his Taylor Swift NFL joke. While the one delivered by Joe Koy at the Golden Globes fell flat (very flat), Noah’s joke was much more original and had the crowd and T. Swift herself cracking up. Here’s a look at what he said/ did.

Miley Cyrus

After winning her very first Grammy, Cyrus took the stage to perform her award winning song “Flowers.” She has never looked or sounded better, IMHO. Also, it looks like she’s taking hair style notes from her Godmother Dolly Parton and I am here for it! Also here for the Tina Turner vibes of the second half of her performance.

Fantasia Barrino

Speaking of Tina Turner, Fantasia performed a rocking tribute to the icon in which she ventured into the audience to encourage fellow artists to join in on the performance. After dancing with Dua Lipa, the camera cut away as she danced up to Beyonce, who it appears wasn’t having it. Despite this, the performance was excellent!

Jay Z

When Jay Z received the Dr. Dre Golden Impact Award, he brought daughter Blue Ivy up on stage. After calling out the Academy for some questionable award choices, including the fact that wife Beyonce has never won Album of the Year, he ended his speech with this uplifting message: “Just in life, you gotta keep showing up. Just keep showing up. Forget the Grammys, you gotta keep showing up – until they give you all those accolades you feel you deserve. Until they call you chairman, until they call you a genius, until they call you the greatest of all time. You feel me?”

Billie Eilish

Even after her numorous wins and accolades, Eilish still seems legitimately shocked whenever she wins. And she never shies away from saying what’s on her mind. After winning Song of the Year for “What Was I Made For” she said, “I’m shocked out of my balls.”

Taylor Swift

While everyone was expecting a big announcment from Swift, she did us one better. We THOUGHT she would announce the release of Repution (Taylor’s Version). Instead, she announce a brand new album titled “The Tortured Poets Department” dropping on April 19. She went on to make history winning Album of the Year for “Midnights,” breaking a record for most wins in the category with four.

Celine Dion

While reports have been made for months regarding Celine Dion’s health, viewers were pleasantly shocked when she shows up to award Album of the Year to Swift. While some online were caught up in anger that Swift didn’t show enough respect the the legend, we were more focused on the fact that Dion looked happy and healthy. Wishing her all the best!
