Ted Lasso star Brett Goldstein, whom you might know better as Roy Kent, is bringing his stand up show to Austin! There will be swears… lots of them.

A breakthrough British creative force on and offscreen, Goldstein has emerged as one of Hollywood’s most sought-after multihyphenates. He’s a comedian, writer, director, double Emmy award winning actor, and swimmer. Yep, swimmer is part of his official bio. And in case you are wondering, he prefers swim trunks over a speedo because, Speedos don’t fit his “whole package.” According to this article, that is.

About Brett Goldstein

Hailed by fans and critics alike, season three of Ted Lasso surpassed its previous record, once again leading as this year’s most-nominated comedy series with 21 Emmy nominations. Goldstein is the co-executive producer, writer, and star of the Peabody-winning Apple TV+ series. For his role as Roy Kent he received two Primetime Emmy Awards for ‘Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy,’ making him the category’s first back-to-back winner in almost 15 years.

This follows the success of his critically acclaimed AMC limited anthology series, Soulmates, which he created and executive produced with Will Bridges. He also serves as the host of the iHeartRadio award-winning podcast, Films To Be Buried With, which finds him in candid conversation with special guests as they discuss the films that have shaped them.

Staffer Lola Hagopian saw the show in Dallas and she can confirm, it WAS the second best night of her life.

This isn’t Goldstein’s first trip to Austin. He took part in a chat at ACL 2021 with Brene Brown at the Bonus Tracks stage. He’s probably been to the ATX numerous other times as well. After all, he’s here, he’s there, he’s every f*cking where…
