They say everything is bigger in Texas and it seems that the love for F1 is HUGE in Amarillo. At least it is for the man who designed this go kart track! A scale replica of Formula One’s Turkish Grand Prix not only exists in Texas but it’s for sale!
Here’s everything you need to know about the F1 track for sale in Texas!
Apparently, the track was a passion project of local orthopedic surgeon Thane Morgan and wasn’t initially meant to be open to the public. The exclusive Morgan family circuit was built for his children and like-minded racing friends.
The Turkish GP replica was built in 2012 and is less than a mile south of Interstate 40 on Farm-to-Market Road 2373. Though it wasn’t originally meant to be open to the public, it may be soon. That’s because the newly renovated, 50-acre complex is for sale!
The real estate listing shows an asking price of $2 million. There are also living quarters onsite so, technically, you can live at a an F1 track.
We discovered this comment on the article about the site on thedrive.com:
I own it, so im just here to see the comments!😂😂 Cash flow isnt the problem! It more than pays and sustains itself. But 2 mil is a steal. They’re opening a Buccees two exits away!
