After days of being on the go in Oslo, I was in need of relaxation. So I starting searching for spa day options. I was a bit shocked by what I found. Shocked in a good way, that is. Here’s what I discovered…
Best Way To Have A Spa Day in Oslo, Norway
Usually, five star hotels have amazing spas. And the prices for those experiences are equally amazing. Luckily, that’s not the case at The Thief Hotel Spa in Oslo. In addition to standalone treatments, they offer some great spa packages. Here are a few of the current options.
SUMMER GLOW – Only available in June, this treatment includes a vigorous antioxidant treatment which strengthens your skin with vitamin C. After the treatment, you will receive a tote bag with travel sized products with vitamin C.
THIEF SPA LUXURY EVENING – Available Sunday through Thursday, this package includes 90 minutes access to Thief Spa, a robe, slippers, a towel, a 50-minute traditional massage and the perfect finish with a 3-course global Scandinavian experience in the restaurant.
AFTERNOON TEA & MASSAGE – Enjoy 50 minutes massage and afternoon tea in the THIEF Restaurant. This offer is available Wednesday through Friday.
There are also a variety of packages that combine spa access and/ or a massage with lunch, brunch and dinner. Prices for these packages range from 1295 to 1995 NOK. As of June 2024, that converts to $120 to $186.
My Experience at the Thief Hotel and Spa
I chose the tea and massage package and I was not disappointed. For just under $150, I received a 50 minute massage followed by a full high tea experience (with the best view in the restaurant). I was even able to add on a glass of Veuve Clicquot for $16.
One thing to note – if you want to use the spa amenities, that’s an additional add on. The rate depends on the day, but it’s about $50. The spa facility includes sensory sky showers, a12-meter pool, steam room, Finnish sauna, and access to the fjord.
