Kimberly Akimbo

Winner of five Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Kimberly Akimbo is the soul touching story of a teenager living in the body of an old woman. Playing in Austin through October 5, this show is an unexpected ride that will pull on your heartstrings.

About Kimberly Akimbo

Kimberly Akimbo suffers from a condition that ages her over four times the normal rate. She experiences the awkward social scene of high school, while she has already gone through menopause. This show touches upon complicated family dynamics, uncomfortable peer situations and facing one’s mortality, all with so much heart.

This talented cast, headed by veteran actor Ann Morrison, is balanced by the youthful portrayal of Seth by Miguel Gil who is making his national tour debut. Jim Hogan (Buddy), Emily Koch (Debra), and Laura Woyasz (Pattie) play off each other with perfect comedic timing reminiscent of Three’s Company. The remaining cast brings laughs, tears, and cringe to the stage. Make sure to read everyone’s bios in the Playbill for some extra fun and tea!
