2025 TV Shows

There are so many excellent TV shows premiering in winter 2025! Whether it’s a returning show or an entirely new series, these are the premieres we are most excited about.

Most Anticipated 2025 TV Shows

January

SEASON PREMIERE: The Traitors (Peacock) – Now Streaming

Streaming exclusively on Peacock, the third season of the reality series features cast members from Big Brother, Survivor, The Real Housewives, and more. And let’s not forget that it’s hosted brilliantly by Alan Cumming.

SEASON PREMIERE: XO, Kitty (Netflix) – Now Streaming

The spin off of the Netflix series To All The Boys returns with a second season focused on Kitty Song Covey (Anna Cathcart). In season 2, we expect to see more romance and cultural exploration as Kitty attends boarding school in Seoul to reconnect with her late mother’s roots.

SEASON PREMIERE: Severance (Apple TV+) – Now Streaming

Though I don’t personally watch Severance, I am quite aware of its popularity and critical acclaim. Therefor, I’m including it on the list as I’m sure many of you will be watching. Perhaps, I should start doing so as well.

SERIES PREMIERE: The Couple Next Door (Starz) – – Now Streaming

With Outlander coming to an end after next season, we need a new series to give us more screen time with Sam Heughan. Enter The Couple Next Door. After moving to a suburban idyll, young couple Evie and Pete develop a fast friendship with their new neighbours Becka and Danny. But Pete’s worried that Evie gets on a little too well with Danny (Heughan). The series aired in the UK in 2023 and it has been confirmed that a season 2 is in development.

February

SEASON PREMIERE: Sweet Magnolias (Netflix) – February 6

This show is a bit silly, but it fills the gap left by Hallmark Christmas movies after the holidays. It’s a feel good easy show to watch so I will continue streaming. Oh, and should I mention that I used to make out with a previous season cast member?

FINALE EVENT: Cobra Kai (Netflix) – February 13

Let’s be honest, this show has run its course. But I still want to see a conclusion so, here we go. The final episodes drop on February 13.

SEASON PREMIERE: Yellowjackets (Paramount+ with Showtime) – February 14

Showtime’s ’90s-set survival drama Yellowjackets brings us two different timelines, each with their share of tragedy. In the trailer for season 3, the current day women figure out who is out to get them when everyone who knows about what happened in the woods is either “us or dead.”

SEASON PREMIERE: The White Lotus (HBO) – February 16

To be honest, this season’s trailer doesn’t do a whole lot for me. However, based on the cast, and the intensity and entertainment value of the previous seasons, I’ll still watch. And I’ll probably love it even more since I’m going in with low expecations.

SEASON PREMIERE: 1923 (Paramount+) – February 23

Even when Yellowstone was still on air, I loved this series. Now that the show that started it all has finaled, I’m looking forward to this return even more. It may or may not have something to do with Brandon Sklenar. Hubba hubba. I’m also excited to see what scenes were shot in the Austin area.

March

RETURNING SERIES: Doctor Odyssey (ABC) – March 6

I kinda love this modern day take on The Love Boat – especially since it stars my early 2000’s crush Joshua Jackson. Pacey forever!

SEASON PREMIERE: American Idol (ABC) – March 9

I gave up on this show a long time ago. But with the return of Carrie Underwood as a job, I might tune in – at least for the first few episodes.

April

SEASON PREMIERE: You (Netflix) – April 24

Speaking of crushes, Penn Badgley returns for one final season as everyone’s favorite killer Joe Goldberg. Honestly, it feels really weird and wrong to have a crush on him though. Not because he plays a demented killer, but because I interviewed him when he was like 13 and thought he was the sweetest kid. Now I have other thoughts, but, ummm, yeah. You is back on April 24.

SEASON PREMIERE – The Last of Us (HBO) – TBD

Though there’s no official date announced, season 2 of HBO’s hit series The Last of Us is supposed to premiere in April.
