Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren will reportedly spend their summer in Austin as the Paramount+ series 1923 moves production to the ATX.
A prequel of the popular Western drama Yellowstone, season one of 1923 was filmed in Montana. According to Austin American-Statesman, season two filming will take place here in Austin and pump more than $51 million into the local economy. ATX Studios will host the production offices and sound stages with production planned for July through September.
In addition to Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren, the series stars Julia Schlaepfer and Brandon Sklenar. Personally, I’m most interested in seeing the latter around town. Insert fire emoji here.
The series premiere of 1923 was the most-watched Paramount+ premiere ever in the U.S. and drew 7.4 million total viewers. We can’t wait to see what season two has in store!
As soon as we get any reports of the stars around the ATX, we’ll share that info on our Instagram account. Be sure to follow along. And sign up for our newsletter here.
