Ryan Reynolds, along with fellow investor and actor Rob McElhenney, are getting in on the F1 craze. I call it a craze because the popularity of the sport has grown immensely over the last few years, thanks to the Netflix series Drive to Survive.
Reynolds and McElhenney are joining the investor group taking a 24% equity stake in Alpine Racing. Currently in 5th place, the team’s current drivers are Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly.
The duo are no strangers to the sports world. Reynolds and McElhenney took over the Welsh football team Wrexham in November of 2020. In April, the club became fifth-tier champions in the English Football League.
