Every week, the ATXgossip gang shares one of the Best Austin Bloggers and Influencers you should be following. We’ve already chatted with a slew of fashionistas, artists, travel bloggers, writers… and we’re nowhere near done! This week we’re introducing you to Mark Rodriguez AKA @Markyatx
As Marky ATX, Mark produces content that inspires all things food, drink, style and leisure. He takes passion in using his social media channels to inspire people to visit Austin and to stay in the know on local news, attractions, restaurant news, personal updates, social issues and so much more!
Mark graduated from Texas State University in 2015 with a degree in Consumer Sciences and Advertising. His passion for business and marketing grew as did his need to help consumers have better experiences both online and in person. This led to creating his Instagram account, where he originally only highlighted food and restaurants but now has grown to help curate the city from happy hours, fundraisers, festivals, local, national and global brands.
Recently Mark was asked to be featured on DailyMail.com, as their “local influencer”! Together they helped organize a collaboration with his friends at Tequila Cazadores to throw a party at Rustic Tap with some of Bravo’s Real Housewives. That not all though, he can’t give us the details yet but he said he has something exciting in the works. Make sure you’re following him to find out what the secret project is!
Of course we couldn’t let Mark go without answering some of our Totally Texas questions!

Michael Cimino from Love Victor.
What advice do you have for Austinites looking to be successful in social media?
