The ATXgossip crew loves sharing the work of the Best Austin Bloggers and Influencers. We’ve already chatted with a slew of fashionistas, artists, travel bloggers, writers… and we’re nowhere near done! This week we’re introducing you to Amanda Nelson, AKA Exploring Amanda.
Amanda is an audacious, no BS motivational speaker, author, tiktok creator and traveler. You can count on her to tell you what you need to hear, not necessarily what you want to hear – mixed with weird dance moves, woo-woo aesthetics and funky fashion.
We asked Amanda about what led her to this career. Here’s what she had to say.
“From food stamps to building an empire, I was never afforded the luxury of travel as a child. When the idea was introduced to me that I could transform my life and create my own reality using the power of my mindset, things started to shift. No more victim mentality and lack ideals. A new realm of possibilities opened up for me. Now, I help thousands transform their lives and recognize their power through my Tiktok videos, coaching and the 60 Days Away Journal.”
Speaking of her journal, it’s selling like hot cakes. Hot cakes? Where does that term even come from?

If you’re looking to get into the social media scene, Amanda offers this advice: Batch your content and keep posting regardless of metrics. Your audience will grow with consistency and you will attract the right people if it comes from a place of authenticity.

Succession and Yellowstone. Now that I’m seeing them lumped together like this, I realize they are both about some crazy ass families. Regardless, Beth Dutton is my spirit animal.

What person would you classify as “totally Texan”?
Well, Willie Nelson, of course.

Jennifer Lawrence.
