While we’ve been practicing social distancing from people we’re becoming closer than ever with our televisions and we couldn’t help but notice the amount of Matthew McConaughey movies that are currently streaming. It’s no secret that the ATXGossip team is a big fan of Mr. Texas, so we thought we’d share our love by sharing some of our favorite movies.

The Wolf of Wall Street (2013)
Starring: Matthew McConaughey, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jonah Hill, Margot Robbie and Kyle Chandler.
Synopsis: In 1987, Jordan Belfort (DiCaprio) takes an entry-level job at a Wall Street brokerage firm. Belfort eventually founded his own firm, Stratton Oakmont. Together with his trusted lieutenant (Jonah Hill) and a merry band of brokers, Belfort makes a huge fortune by defrauding wealthy investors out of millions. While Belfort and his cronies partake in a hedonistic brew of sex, drugs and thrills, the SEC and the FBI close in on his empire of excess.

A few weeks ago McConaughey launched “McConaughey Takes” on his Instagram feed. In his second video he talks about The Wolf of Wall Street. Matthew points out that the famous chest pounding scene from the movie is actually a relaxation technique he always does before a scene. It was actually Leonardo’s idea to include it in the movie. After the idea was pitched, the iconic scene we see in the movie was done in one take.
