Unlike most of my friends, I have not logged into Netflix to re-watch the 2011 film Contagion. Why? Because that shite is all too real! In fact, it’s so real that the cast reunited for a PSA about COVID-19 awareness.

Matt Damon, Laurence Fishburne, Kate Winslet, Marion Cotillard and Jennifer Ehle teamed up with scientists from Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health for four videos. Titled “Control the Contagion: Spreading Facts, Not Fear,” the videos were shot by each star individually in their homes.

In one of the videos, Damon, who in the film played a character who was immune to the hypothetical virus, stresses listening to experts and staying six feet apart. “That was a movie. This is real life,” he says. “I have no reason to believe that I’m immune to COVID-19. And neither do you.”
