Part time Austinite and full time Texan Jesse Plemons was honored at the Cannes Film Festival. Though not in attendance, he was named Best Actor for his role in Yorgos Lanthimos’ Kinds of Kindness.

Plemons’s wife Kirsten Dunst shared the win on Instagram accompanied by the sobbing emoji followed by clapping hands.

Fellow Texas native Selena Gomez won Best Actress as part of the ensemble for Emilia Perez. Cast members Adriana Paz, Zoe Saldana and Karla Sofia Gascon were also honored.
