Jared and Genevieve Padalecki announced their engagement in January 2010 after co-starring on “Supernatural.” The pair married on February 27, 2010, in her hometown of Sun Valley, Idaho, and now reside in Austin with their three children.
Jensen and Danneel Ackles
“Supernatural” star Jensen Ackles married “One Tree Hill” actress Danneel Harris in Dallas in 2010. The couple now reside in Austin where they own Family Business Beer Company, located in Dripping Springs.
Jep and Jessica Robertson
You may recognize Jep Robertson and wife Jessica from appearances on “Duck Dynasty” and their own spinoff series “Jep and Jessica: Growing the Dynasty.” In 2017, the couple relocated to the Austin area from Louisiana and later opened a Cajun food truck called Jep’s Southern Roots, located at the Family Business Beer Company. On their podcast in late 2017, Jessica said of the Austin move, “The seed to be planted for moving here started about 10 years ago. We fell in love with the Texas area. Gradually, we started doing more and more here. The past five years we’ve really made a lot of friends in Austin.”

Midland lead singer Mark Wystrach and Outdoor Voices CEO Ty Haney announced their engagement in early 2019. They are expecting a baby girl in November. Per a report by People, the couple met on a blind date at Bufalina in 2018 after Haney slid into Wystrach’s DMs on Instagram.

Though we aren’t sure how much time Marshall Allman spends in Austin, the “Prison Break” and “True Blood” star was born and raised in here and graduated from Austin High in 2002. He married actress Jamie Ann Brown in ATX in 2006.
Glen Powell and Renee Bargh
A graduate of Westwood High, Glen Powell was also born and raised in Austin. According to reports, he currently dates “Extra” host Renee Bargh, who was by his side at the “Scream Queen” actor’s 30th birthday in November 2018.
Ben McKenzie and Morena Baccarin
Like Marshall Allman, Ben McKenzie graduated from Austin High after attending St. Andrew’s Episcopal School, where he was friends and flag football teammates with future Super Bowl MVP Drew Brees. In 2017, he married “Gotham” co-star Morena Baccarin and the couple reside in LA.
Ciara and Russell Wilson
So technically, Ciara traveled around the world during her childhood, eventually moving to Atlanta where she started her music career. But the actress and singer was born right here in Austin. Her husband is Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson.

Dakota Johnson was born at Brackenridge Hospital to Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson, who was shooting the film The Hot Spot in the area. Of course, once filming wrapped, the trio moved on from the ATX, but we’re granting Johnson honorable Austinite status. She currently dates Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin.
