There’s finally a release date for the newest Apple+ miniseries The Last Thing He Told Me! And that’s not all. We’re also getting a first look. The miniseries is partially set and was filmed here in Austin. We first shared filming details back in the fall of 2022. Now, we’re back to spill more tea on the series.
Here’s everything you need to know about The Last Thing He Told Me!
Book Adaptation
The series is being adapted from a novel by the same name. The mystery-thriller novel written by Laura Dave became an instant #1 New York Times Bestseller and spent 65 weeks bestseller list. The series is produced by Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine
Since the book takes place in both California and Texas, filming here in Austin seems like a no-brainer!
Cast
The project stars Jennifer Garner, Angourie Rice, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Aisha Tyler and Geoff Stults. Garner, Rice and Coster-Waldau were all spotted in Austin filming in August, 2022. No signs of the other cast so we assume they are in the scenes set in California.
Jennifer Garner replaced Julia Roberts as Hannah in the series. Roberts reportedly had to back out due to scheduling issues.
Release Date
The series will stream on Apple+ starting on April, 14. Watch the full trailer here:
Did anyone else notice the burnt orange bleachers in the background of the publicity still? This isn’t surprising since crews were spotted filming on the UT campus last fall. They also filmed on 5th Street across from Antone’s – as you can see in this video we posted on TikTok.
Stay tuned after the series premieres as we break down all the Austin filming locations we spot in the series!
