Southern Charm cast member Craig Conover is Sewing Down South for a good cause.
In an Instagram Live, the sewing fanatic spoke with new business partner Nick Woodhouse of Authentic Brands Group. Before debuting his new line for Thomasville, Conover talked about how he’s keeping his workers busy making reusable and washable masks and gowns. According to Conover, the fully cloth, no elastic masks are unlike anything you’ll currently find in the stores. He says they are comfortable and functional, and, of course, you’ll be totally responsible just by wearing one.
While the masks will be donated to hospitals, fans can purchase them soon at sewingdownsouth.com.
To celebrate one year of Sewing Down South, the company is donating part of the proceeds from all sales this week to nurses and doctors on the front line.
During the live session, Conover also spoke to Woodhouse about the idea of designing a pillow where all sales would go to support those on the front line. We’ll stay tuned for that.
This isn’t the first time CC has used his pillows to give back. He told Decider, “When we delegated the lobster pillow to be the Bohemian pillow and raised almost $30 grand, that was really cool,” with proceeds going towards relief and rescue operations for the Abacos after they were hit by hurricanes.
Hospitals interested in connecting with Sewing Down South to order masks and gowns can get in touch with the company by emailing hiyall@sewingdownsouth.com.
When Will Southern Charm Season 7 premiere?
Prior to the quarantine, Bravo was busy shooting Southern Charm season 7 in Charleston. We got some inside info on the new season for a friend down south. While we know Thomas Ravenel will definitely not be back, we hear there are a couple of new cast members this season, including Leva Bonaparte who is a part of the Republic Development and Management Group which owns Republic Garden & Lounge, Bourbon N’ Bubbles, Mesu, and the forthcoming 1st Place. Republic is one of the Southern Charm filming locations we have highlighted in the past.
Conover mentioned that the cast will be shooting again in about a month. One can only hope this madness ends before then. If not, who knows when this season will actually premiere – we’re still hoping for Fall 2020.
Once they do resume shooting, we’ll be sure to tell you about it so follow us on Facebook so you know when we post new info.
