Younger Returns to TV Land… and ATX Television Festival

At last year’s ATX Television Festival, we listed the Younger screening and panel as one of our favorite things. The fact that the entire cast made an appearance (sans a preggo Hilary Duff, that is) may have something to do with that.

To recap, here’s what we posted in 2018.

The Younger Cast Learns About the Food and Drink Options at the Alamo Drafthouse

The cast of Younger was on hand for a screening of a new episode followed by a Q&A with nearly all of the cast.

While walking on stage, Miriam Shor, who plays Diana on the show, took notice of the food and drink being delivered to audience members in the front row.

After asking people what they ordered she noticed someone eating the giant bowl of popcorn served at the Drafthouse and said, “I like you!”

Tortorella also exclaimed, “It’s like a full bar down there!”

Sounds like someone needs to take these guys to the Alamo Drafthouse in Brooklyn.

When the cast was asked about pranks on the set, Shore told the audience that Sutton Foster likes to say “balls” in the middle of scenes to make her laugh. Moments later, Foster interrupted her mid sentence by randomly saying, “Balls.”

This cast is just lovely and 30 minutes was not nearly enough time to fully experience their charm and wit.

Now, back to the present…

While the entire cast was not able to attend this year (in part due to the fact that the Tony Awards took place on Sunday), festival attendees were graced with the presence of Debi Mazar – which sparked a conversation amongst my friends of when we first remember seeing Ms. Mazar on screen. Post your earliest memory in a comment below, please.

Those in attendance not only got to take part in a Q&A with Mazar and writers Sarah Choi and Joe Murphy, we also got to watch the season premiere. But for those of you who had to wait until tonight to see it, let me tell you, it is SO worth the wait.

I cried.

Seriously.

Not because it’s sad, but because I was so happy to see the gang back together. A very special musical number may also have had something to do with my tears. I’m a sucker for musical numbers.

I don’t want to tell you too much about the episode except that you should watch tonight at 9pm on TV Land.

And if you feel the same joy I did, please tweet or Facebook me! I’m always looking for friends to chat about TV with.

Happy watching, y’all!
