The Alamo Drafthouse hosted a red carpet Angels Sing premiere and Spill the ATX was there. This wasn’t the first time some of the stars walked the red carpet. The film screened earlier in the year at SXSW.

The film stars Harry Connick Jr., Connie Britton and Willie Nelson and is based on Turk Pipkin’s novel When Angels Sing. Pipkin (pictured to the right with a Spill the ATX staffer) also appears in the film, along with many of Austin’s familiar faces including local musicians Bob Schneider, Sara Hickman, Ray Benson and Dale Watson. Kris Kristofferson and Lyle Lovett also make cameos.

Unfortunately, stars Connick and Britton did not attend this premiere. Lucky for us, Nelson was on hand for both.
