When Matthew McConaughey was on Seth Meyers last week, the Late Night host asked him about teaching at UT.
He did not, however, raise his hand first. Nor did he refer to him as Professor McConaughey. This propted UT Austin to tweet this to his attention.
That’s “Professor McConaughey” to you, @sethmeyers ??https://t.co/1gduJ5BzNw

The University of Texas alum, who graduated in 1993 with a radio-television-film degree, taught a Fall semester course called Advanced Producing: Script-to-Screen in the Moody College of Communication. The class was lead mostly through pre-recorded videos. The Oscar winner did, however, make a couple of in person appearances during the course of the semester.
Watch the clip from Late Night with Seth Meyers and see what else Professor Matthew McConaughey had to say about the course.
We can only imagine how much calmer (and quieter) it would be if reporters were required to raise their hand when addressing him on the red carpet.
