How The Fall Guy Made Me Fall In Love With Ryan Gosling

Fall Guy

Ryan Gosling is having quite the year! From his nomination as Best Actor in a Supporting Role for Barbie to his “I’m Just Ken” live performance at the Oscars, it seems the whole world has fallen in love with Gosling. Except me. That is, until I saw him in The Fall Guy.

Based around the same premise as the 1980’s TV series, The Fall Guy starts with Colt Seavers (Gosling) falling from the good graces of movie making. He goes on to get a second chance at a career and love love. Action packed with plenty of stunts, explosions, and an epic boat scene, The Fall Guy feels like a high budget film that certainly can attract the action movie crowd. But that isn’t what won the audience’s hearts. While you won’t see Gosling dancing a foxtrot or hanging at his Mojo Dojo Casa House, he does a great job portraying a humble stunt man who goes out of his way to make sure the love of his life’s (Blunt) movie goes perfectly. And he looks darn great doing it.

The Fall Guy is available in 4DX!

Between the open button down shirt, the stunts, and his laid back persona, a new found appreciation of Gosling’s range is sure to keep you entertained. It worked for me anyway. That, and the fact that this film is available in 4DX, adding even more twists and turns to the movie experience. 4DX provides a multi-sensory cinema experience. When the boat scene happens, the audience gets splashed with rain (which really came in handy to help cool us off from all of the muscles and close ups of Gosling).

With an all star cast, and a cameo by the original Fall Guy, Lee Majors, The Fall Guy is a great group movie that offers a little bit of everything: humor, action, love, and a little revenge.

Be sure to catch The Fall Guy in theaters May 3. If you have the opportunity to see it in 4DX, we definitely recommend.
